appended here under are invited for preparation of panels to fill up
the existing and expected vacancies in different categories of posts in
the Judgeship of Howrah.The examinations/tests of all categories of
posts will be held on a particular date and time as per schedule of
programme which shall be fixed and conducted by the District Recruitment
Committee of Howrah Judgeship in due course of time. One can apply for
only one vacant post of any particular category. Vacancy details, scale

Qualification: Candidates must be Passed in Madhyamik or Equivalent examination with certificate in computer training and have shorthand speed of 80 wpm & typewriting speed of 30 wpm in English for Posts 1 & 2 and Passed in Class VIII for remaining Posts.
Age Limit: Candidates age should not less than 18 years and not more than 40 years as on 01-01-2014. The upper age relaxation is 05 years for SC/ ST, 03 years for OBC and 45 years for Physically Challenged candidates.
Pay or Salary: For English Stenographer Rs. 7100-37600/-. For Lower Division Clerk and Process Server/ Summon Bailiff Rs. 5400-25200/-. for eon/ Night Guard/ Day Guard/ Farash Rs. 4900-16200/-
Selection Procedure: Candidates will be selected based on performance in Written Test, Typing Test (for Post 1), Personality Test and Interview.
How to Apply: Eligible candidates may send their applications in prescribed format along with duly signed photographs affixed on application & admit card, attested copies of relevant certificates and one self addressed envelope of size 25 cm x 11 cm with postal stamp of Rs.5/-, in a closed envelope mentioning the name of the post applied for on the top, send by speed/ ordinary/ registered post addressed to The District Judge, Howrah & Chairman, District Recruitment Committee of Howrah Judgeship, Pin 711101 on or before 20-06-2014 by 05.00 PM.
Application Fee: Candidates need to Pay Rs.300/- (Rs.50/- for SC/ ST) for Posts 1 & 2 and Rs.200/- (Rs.25/- for SC/ ST) for remaining Posts in the form of Bank Draft on any nationalized bank drawn in favour of Chairman, District Recruitment Committee, HWH & Dist Judge, HOW payable at Howrah. SC/ ST/ OBC candidates of other states will be treated as General Candidates.
